FIGHT COVID-19 BOREDOM WITH THESE AT-HOME ACTIVITIES
Staying home for extended periods of time is now the new normal — and we get it — as many of us are incredibly social human beings, it’s not easy to adjust to life without social contact or even the simple privilege of being outdoors.
As the recommendations to self-quarantine extend to April 30th, the reality of our current situation sets in.
Thankfully, there’s more to life indoors than the news that can feel downright stressful.
In fact, we must consider the obligation we have to take care of ourselves during such a sensitive time. We need to regulate our emotions, feed our minds with the good stuff to ultimately combat the bad stuff until it all dies down.
Today, we take you through things to do at home during self-quarantine and all the incredible freebies that the internet has made possible.
Yes, FREE stuff — because if there was ever a time that “free” sounded really good, it’d be now.
FREE MUSIC CONCERTS FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME: #TOGETHERATHOME
First thing’s first, let’s take a moment to acknowledge the beauty of today’s world: live performances of Chris Martin from Coldplay are now available thanks to Instagram Live.
For his fans, he performed an acoustic version of “A Sky Full of Stars” along with a few other piano renditions. It was exactly what we all needed to simmer down into the moment and really appreciate the healing gift of music.
The description of this course notes, “Upon successful completion of the course, students can expect to take photographs with an intuition of the camera’s behavior, and its limitations, and an ability to think critically about light and the resulting appearance of a photograph.”
The instructor details that this course is suitable for absolute beginners with no prior experience in photography.
As businesses suffer due to the pandemic, the income that many freelancers rely on has been impacted.
Adobe took notice.
Now available is a 2-month creative cloud subscription for the creative freelancers of the world who are looking to minimize costs.
Per T2’s recent article, this deal is offered to pre-existing users but they’re still unsure whether or not it’s offered to new users.
So, the moment we heard that Adobe was offering a free 2-month creative cloud subscription, there was only one thing left to do: head over to manage our current subscription. Consequently, we found that once our subscription was canceled, we were automatically offered the two-months free deal.

Babbel’s website says, “Whether you’re in kindergarten or college, you can take 3 months* of Babbel lessons — no purchase necessary.”
The languages for this program include Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Dutch, Turkish, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Indonesian, and English.
It seems like we all share a valid reason as to why we can’t make it into the gym. 😅
For that reason, it’s easy to skip a workout in its entirety.
But for those that have the motivation to workout from home, Orangetheory is offering a new workout every day to keep you strong.
These 30-minute workouts are led by some of your favorite coaches from around the world.
Most noteworthy is that there’s no special equipment necessary, though they advise that they “may ask you to scrounge around the house for some objects”.

With live music, other free online offerings and a little bit of dedication to learn and try new activities, you’ll soon find that this (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay home with the entire human population isn’t all so bad when you take out the “why we have to”.
Let us know in the comments how you’re spending your day at your residence!
Stay safe and inside everyone. #TogetherApart
